What to See In Bend

Movies, Music and Live Theatre

Sheryl Crow at the Les Schwab AmphitheaterWhile Bend is better known for what you do outside, it also has a vibrant and active arts community.  From the latest popular movies to out-of-the-way performances, you'll be surprised by what you might find.

The centerpiece of Bend's arts community is the Tower Theatre.  Originally Bend's first movie house, it has since been renovated and features unique performances across the spectrum of the arts.  Concerts, movies, plays, community events - the Tower is the place for them all.

Michael McDonald at the Les Schwab AmphitheaterIf catching the latest flick is your wish, the Regal 16 at the Old Mill shows the most recent productions, and if you're willing to venture out east, the Pilot Butte 6 specializes in second-run and smaller art-house films.

Bend also has a vibrant community theatre scene.  Cascades Theatrical Company is going on thirty years of putting on top-notch plays, and 2nd Street Theater is a cozy environment to catch something perhaps a little different, such as their recent production of Evil Dead: The Musical.

Cabaret at the TowerMusic?  Bend has that.  The Domino Room the Midtown Ballroom have hosted such groups the Dropkick Murphys and the Rev. Horton Heat, and the vibrant local community of bands can be found frequently playing at popular venues such as the Silver Moon Brewery.

There's quite a bit of culture here in Bend...you just need to know where to look.
