Where to Drink in Downtown Bend

Anchored by Deschutes Brewery, Downtown Bend is arguably the epicenter of all things beer in Central Oregon.  For over twenty years, Deschutes Brewery (or simply "the brewpub" to locals) has been producing award-winning microbrews, and this is the perfect time to try the latest batch of Jubelale they've produced.  Just a few blocks away, the Bend Brewing Company has put their own stamp on Central Oregon's microbrewing scene.  Nothing beats an Outback Ale and watching the river.  And, lest we forget, McMenamin's at the Old St. Francis School offers delicious McMenamin's brews.  Did I mention that these are all within a few blocks of each other?  If you're thinking of a high-class pub crawl, this is the place to do it.

If wine is more you're scene, Downtown Bend offers several tasting rooms, among them, The Loft and Volcano Vineyards, offering the finest selections from the Pacific Northwest and around the world.  900 Wall and Cork also offer impressive wine lists.

But if its a tasty cocktail you want, the Bendistillery Martini Bar will have just the thing, with custom-made martinis made from their own award-winning gins and vodkas.  The Blacksmith Restaurant, featuring our own Columbine Quillan, is one of the top bars in the area.
