Where to eat in the Old MillThankfully this trendatorium is not hurting for places to eat. Quick bite before a movie? They can do that. Nice, actual sit-down dinner, with waiters and napkins and non-laminated menus? They have four of those. Meat on a stick? Oh yeah, they got that too.

But where to go? In no particular order, here are five of our favorite Old Mill District haunts:

Old Mill 2Hola!: And howdy to you too. Hola! had already ensconced itself as a local favorite before moving to the Old Mill District, featuring Neuvo-Mexicano-Peruvian cuisine. We're not entirely sure what that all means, but damn, it's tasty.

Strictly Organic: If you care about Certified Organic and Free Trade coffee, then Strictly Organic is the spot for you. If all you care about is a decent cup of joe before pounding the pavement, then you'll be just as happy.

Red Robin: There are times you just want a burger, a beer and maybe a little sports on the big screen before wrangling your brood back into the minivan. Red Robin delivers there.

OM-Eat-1.jpgPastini Pastaria:
They have thirty-six different kinds of pasta. Thirty-six! You could eat there every day for a month and still not have gotten to the cavatappi. Not that we'd necessarily recommend doing that unless your name is Lance Armstrong.

Ben & Jerry: We all scream for ice cream, especially the tasty Ben & Jerry's blow your mind, curl your toes decadence. Even in the winter months, a scoop of Chunky Monkey is always welcome. If you're getting ready to hit the slopes or just getting ready to wind down with a relaxing dinner, the vendors and restaurants at the Old Mill District ave what you'll need.
